Another day of house hunting in Nova Scotia, and the very first house seen today kind of spoiled it for all the other homes -- it was so pretty and full of nature. As soon as you open the car door you hear the stream running along the side of the property, quite a deep and fast-flowing brook, not just a tiny trickle. The soothing sound of the water flowing led us down the walk to the main house, which was roomy and very well cared for. The property itself is quite large, 143' (front) x 318' (creekside) x 87' (back) x 276'. The house was also only 20 years old, and in excellent shape. Behind the house was a good-sized shed, in excellent condition, with a small work bench. Down the hill to the creek was a second external building, this was huge: a 2-story 25' x 30' garage that I called "the warehouse". Well finished inside (see photos) with wood stove and second floor storage area (up a ladder). You can see the lake from the front deck, and listen to the creek. There was also a wider river or lake feeding the creek at the rear of the house that we haven't explored yet.
